By a significant majority members of the Clyne Heritage Society, after hearing the evidence and a lively debate, pronounced Patrick Seller "guilty"

Patrick Sellar was acquitted, and no one can argue, that in law, he was cleared of all charges brought against him, but he was never able to escape the continuing accusations. Today, the debate still rumbles on amid an every lively interest in the Highland Clearances.
